It was wonderful to experience the positive energy at The Cove last Sunday during these challenging times. On April 6, Brooke, Josh, Bryan, and Tracy Colford, along with The Cove staff and volunteers raised $8,400 at the Lions’ Medical Mobility Service breakfast. More than 300 people enjoyed French toast with fresh maple syrup, sausages, and home fries.
Everything for the breakfast was donated. The Colfords contributed 20 litres of maple syrup. Stuart Jackson supplied the eggs, Randy Billings provided coffee from Mother Parkers Coffee. Findlay Foods and Sysco provided the sausages and home fries. The Cove graciously provided their staff and venue for the event. Additionally, Matt Chaikowsky from Little Rideau Farms donated a beautiful wicker basket filled with a variety of maple products, which will be raffled off at a later date.
The 40-ounce bottle of maple syrup donated by Bryan’s Septic Service was won by Janet Mulville. The 50-50 ticket worth $500 was won by Cathy Thompson.
The Westport Lions extend their gratitude to The Cove, the Colford family, all the suppliers and the community for their donations and support. Thanks to your generosity the Westport Lions’ Medical Mobility Service will continue to provide this valuable service to the community.
