The Westport Lions distributed $16,500 to 15 different organizations for their fall disbursements bringing the total for 2025 to $35,578. The club is able to do this because of the tremendous work of Lions and volunteers, and the outstanding support of the community. It is the policy of the club not to publicly discuss the financial contributions by individuals, but the membership is constantly amazed at the generosity of individuals towards our various causes.
On December 6, Lions distributed 350 Christmas cakes to seniors living in the Newboro and Westport area. The reward of delivering these cakes brings as much joy to the Lions as it does to the seniors receiving them.
The tremendous success of this year’s Christmas toy drive is the result of the hard work of chairperson Jan Gagnon and the community’s contributions. A special thank you to Kudrinko’s and Westport Flooring for their continued support of this project. Jan was able to give each child multiple gifts due to the donations of toys and money.
Sherron and Connor Perrin from Delta, started the New Year in a lucky fashion by having the first calendar number drawn in the 2026 Lions Cash Calendar. Congratulations!
The Westport Lions hope your holidays were filled with much love, laughter and joy and the club wishes everyone good health and happiness in 2026.
