Meet our newest member, Rene´ Reynen
While boating the Rideau system for years, one of Lori and Rene´ Reynen’s favorite stops was Westport. After selling their company, which manufactured stethoscopes for the medical profession, Lori and Rene´ decided to explore Westport by auto. They loved what they saw, and were impressed with Westport and its residents. They could identify with Westport because they both came from small communities of Chesterville and Ingleside. Before they knew it, they had bought a business, and have spent nine years living in Westport.
In Cornwall and area, Rene´ has been involved with the Jaycees of Canada, the Chamber of Commerce and various business associations. He has also been president of the real estate board and involved with minor hockey.
After seeing what the Lions Club of Westport is doing and stands for, and getting to know some of its members, he decided to apply to become a member. Rene´ hopes to help in whatever way he can, and is proud to be a Lion. He says, “If anyone is thinking about helping out the community in which he or she lives in, then please talk to a Lion.” At his store New Beginnings on Church St., he has the Lions 2018 Cash Calendars for sale.
