Family Fun Day at the Lions’ Beach

Westport Lions Club is hosting Westfest this Saturday, July 16. Tom Savage and the Foley Mountain Playboys will entertain you for free from noon until 5 p.m. A canteen will be available for you to purchase pulled pork sandwiches, sausages, hamburgers, jumbo hot dogs, soft drinks, and water. The Lions Club appreciates the sponsorship of this event by Josh Doornekamp of Aarda Construction.

Also, on Saturday, July 16, the Westport Lions Club will hold its eighth annual Rock the Beach Co-ed Volleyball Tournament at the Lions’ beach. There is still room for additional teams so if you wish to enter the tournament, please contact Lion Bob Reddick at breddick@rideau.net or 613-583-2062 by July 14. The entrance fee is $120 and there will be prizes for all participants. All information about the tournament is posted on the club’s website, westportlions.ca, or our Westport Lions Facebook page.
