It takes approximately 17 volunteers to clean the beach and washrooms, and cut and trim the grass. The Westport Lions Club is looking for reliable, dependable volunteers to help clean the changing rooms. Volunteers would need to:
- Open and clean the changing rooms/washrooms one day a week;
- Do a quick walk around the property and use a grabber to pick up any garbage.
The club will provide all the cleaning supplies, including disposal gloves. Total time required is approximately 20 minutes—the beach is usually clean.
The Westport Lions are happy to accommodate volunteers’ schedule. If volunteers clean in the morning, they could start any time, but it would be best to have the washrooms open by 10:00 a.m. In the evening, the club would prefer the washrooms be cleaned and locked up not before 7:00 p.m.
The club is also looking for a person to help a Lion trim the grass on the property. The volunteer will need to provide their own trimmer.
Anyone interested in volunteering for either of these two jobs, please contact the club at westportontariolions@gmail.com or telephone 613-273-5789 and leave a message.
