Occassionally funds are donated by the Westport Lions to the Food Bank. The Lions club also sometimes helps with food drives, including having a food collection float during the Santa Claus Parade. Each year the Lions Club also holds a Christmas dinner for the patrons of the Food Bank.
Each year, near the end of November, beginning of December at 2 o’clock in the afternoon is the Lions Club Santa Claus Parade. From the end of June to the middle of August, Wednesday nights are Bingo nights at the Westport Arena/Community Centre. The Westport Lions call the numbers and operate the Bingo throughout the summer.
Music and activities are organized for Canada Day afternoons at the Lions Beach. A shuttle service is available from St Edwards School yard to the beach and the highlight of the day is the evening Fireworks over Sand Lake by the Westport Fire Department.
