Lions Club Rock the Beach Volleyball Tournament

July 26/14 – 8:00a.m.–5:00 p.m.

This is an invitation to sign up for the Westport Lions second annual Beach Volleyball Tournament being held at the Lions Beach on July 26^th. There will be a BBQ, canteen, music, and plenty of fun prizes given out. The first game will start promptly at 8:00 a.m. The exact format will be determined once we know the number of teams we have in each division. There will be two divisions, one will be competitive (designed for players that have played at least high school varsity volleyball) and a non competitive division (for people who are happy just to get the ball over the net). Each team is guaranteed at least 3 games. To encourage a fun, non-competitive atmosphere each team must consist of at least 6 players – at least 2 males and 2 females – who must be on the court at all times. Entrance fee is $150 per team. Each team must submit their registration form and cheque by July 12^th so we can determine the format & construct another court if needed. If we have 8 teams that sign up, we might ask a couple of local teams to play an evening game on Friday, July 25^th. The rain date will be Sunday, July 27^th. Please make your cheque payable to Westport Lions Club.

 How to sign up:

1. Determine your team captain.
2. Have the team captain register and provide team information.
3. Make out cheque for $150.00 payable to Westport Lions Club before July 12^th, 2014. Send cheque to Bob Reddick, 60 Maple Grove Lane, Westport, ON KOG 1X0
4. Email Registration Form (breddick@rideau.net) or mail it to the above address.
5. The Waiver must be signed before first game.
6. Schedule and further details will be sent to team captain.

IN CONSIDERATION FOR my participation in the Beach Volleyball Tournament for Westport Lions Club:
I hereby willingly acknowledge and accept that playing beach volleyball is hazardous and that hazards exist both on and off the playing surface at Westport Lions Beach;
I hereby agree that this activity is, and shall be, at my own risk and I, for myself and on behalf of my issue, estate, beneficiaries, successors, executors and any person claiming pursuant to the Family Law Act or through me, hereby release, forever discharge and save harmless WESTPORT LIONS CLUB AND ITS MEMBERS, any sanctioning bodies, sponsoring companies, participants, entrants, etc. connected with this event from and against any and all actions, claims, costs and expenses arising out of my participation in Beach Volleyball Tournament for Westport Lions Club, including without limitation, any physical injuries or for loss or damage to my property.
