Over 200 people enjoyed a delicious dinner of fish and chips, Rick’s baked beans, buns, coleslaw and dessert on a beautiful evening at our annual fish fry. Lion members appreciated the extra help provided by volunteers, Jeannette Harper, Penny Warriner and her granddaughters Ava & Sami Robinson, Pat Reddick, Wendy Brus, and Barb Fritz.

Save the date. On July the 20th, the Westport Lions Club is organizing their annual Rock the Beach Volleyball tournament. This event will have two divisions, competitive and non-competitive with prizes for every participant. Both Divisions are co-ed, four verses four and the entry fee is $120 per team. There is no limit on the number of players on each team.   For more details, check out our Facebook page or the Lions website.

Everyone is invited to come to the beach to celebrate Canada Day from noon to four. Enjoy lots of family fun with a bouncy castle, face painters, a family maze and free hotdogs and drinks before moving on to Rideau Vista to an evening of music and fireworks. There will be no parking at the beach so make sure you take advantage of the free shuttle service.
